For us, getting to look back on our childhood videos has been deeply healing and nostalgic... it's an incredibly unique feeling, one that has brought on laughs, reflections and a fondness for the past.
We are so grateful to be able to share that experience, with you.

From humble beginnings...
RetroTech Digital was born out of an unexpected discovery during the first lockdown of 2020. Like many of us, I found myself at home with plenty of time on my hands. At the time, I was living with my parents and decided to explore some old storage drawers for something to keep me busy.
That’s when I stumbled upon a treasure trove of memories—our family’s collection of videotapes, capturing all the precious moments of my childhood and my sister’s.
Curious and nostalgic, I dusted off an old camcorder, connected it to the TV, and hit play. Suddenly, there I was: a four-year-old kid in a Power Ranger suit, proudly showing off my moves. My family and I laughed and reminisced over countless moments from the past, but there was a catch. Watching those tapes became frustrating—pausing, rewinding, or skipping required manually controlling the camcorder. That’s when inspiration struck: there had to be a better way to enjoy and preserve these memories.
With that thought in mind, I began to research, determined to find a way to transfer those memories onto a USB for easy playback and long-term preservation. After weeks of trial and error, I finally cracked the process and spent the next week digitizing all 53 of my family’s tapes. It was such a rewarding experience that I thought, Why not offer this service to others?
I shared my idea on a local Greenvale community Facebook page, explaining what I could do. To my surprise, the response was overwhelming—over 100 comments within 24 hours from people eager to preserve their own memories.
As RetroTech Digital grew, so did the need for a polished, professional presence, and that’s where Andjela, my partner, came in. With a keen eye for design and a talent for branding, Andjela has been the creative force behind our online image. From crafting our website to managing social media, she ensures that RetroTech Digital reflects the quality and care we put into preserving your memories. Her dedication to presenting our services in the best possible light has been invaluable to our success.
Since those early days, I’ve refined and perfected the digitization process to deliver high-quality results that my customers love. Together, Andjela and I are proud to combine technical expertise with creative flair to help people relive and cherish their past.
